Paperbark Woman
Paperbark Woman includes a retail outlet in Darwin city. It also includes a manufacturing outlet at the shop and in Howard Springs.
Paperbark Woman has over 350 commercially produced fabrics in stock designed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people. These fabrics suit patchworkers and quilters and people who like sewing. They are also suitable for framing and for making soft furnishings.
Paperbark Woman specialises in clothing and accessories, bags, homewares, patchwork pieces, textiles and other items using textiles designed and/or produced by ATSI people.
As a fashion designer, Lenore creates clothes for women, men and children – using one off designs and also mass-producing garments and other products. Lenore also creates individual artworks on clothes using sewing techniques or through other techniques such as painting & batik.
Paperbark Woman also engages ATSI artist such as Makapetik, Hermy and Tammy Munnich and Larrakia artists to create hand printed textiles and clothes, accessories, bags, homeware and patchwork pieces.
Conference Bags, Corporate Gifts and Building fit-outs:
Paperbark Woman makes conference bags and corporate gifts from the 300+ fabric designs stocked at the shop. Meeting bags and products include stories of the designs and artists in each of their products. Paperbark Woman is happy to deal with small numbers up to very large numbers of products. If you are fitting out your office, building or commercial accommodation premises, please contact us about introducing ATSI designed fabrics into your business.
We are also happy to talk about setting up a pop up shop at your conference or event.
